IDENTITY - During the last couple months of High School, and more so when I went to college, I learned that although I was, and thought of myself, as a 'not very good student' I was actually a pretty good student.  This was an important shift, making a difference in my behavior, and in who I could relate to and build relationships with.  This in turn, prepared me to meet and fall in love with a very good student and a very good learner, my wife of 49 years, who incidentally is a very good person - and who makes me want to be a better person.

Other notions of Who Am I tend to cluster around the setting, or groups of friends, or other dimensions:
I am a bad kid / good girl / good good sport / poor swimmer / class clown / geek /

Some are more important - - - and lead to other, deepening questions:
I am a good friend - - - What is a good friend?  What does a good friend do?

Carl Sandberg, the famous American Poet, wrote hundreds of poems, but only one book, Rememberance Rock, in which he urges us to visit a rock each year to reflect on Key Life Questions, like Who Am I & What am I doing?

Good advice us all - to periodically reflect on the Question - Who Am I?
